How to use Plone as a tool to develop for Plone in a model-driven fashion: modelling your customers’ sites *in Plone*, generating code for content and theme products *by using Plone* and finally being able to access all model data at runtime *in Plone* to implement generic functions and runtime configurability.
Who
Henning Rietz
Condat AG
For 13 years I have been active as a conference speaker and trainer in various settings, both German und international.
My current responsibilities as a business line manager for information systems in Condat AG also involve frequent presentations, often involving “Plone evangelism”.
I regularly get positive feedback on my talks, which obviously provide high value to the listeners and also seem to be quite entertaining, as my style is lively and interactive, employing a lot of humour.
It may help to note that I am also performing as a singer and piano player, which means that I have "stage experience". I have been doing this for more than 20 years now, which means I’m not a young guy anymore (I’m 42, married, 4 children).
Concerning my expertise on the subject:
- I was responsible for introducing Plone development in our company in 2005 - successfully creating a whole new business segment
- I have been an active developer for Plone since then (for Zope even since 2001)
- I have led several enterprise portal development projects with Plone for industrial customers, public sector and NGOs.
- I have envisioned and established Plone-driven Plone development as our main approach
- I did present this approach in a lightning talk during the Plone Conference 2009 in Budapest
